We have met the Communists...and they are US!

Karl Marx, the founder of Marxism or Communism, published the following demands in 1848 in his infamous "Communist Manifesto".

My comments follow in BOLD type.

It's curious how relevant these 150 year old communist principles are in the USA!

1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes. Not yet. Just heavy State and Federal taxes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax. Most definitely, yes! The rich are EVIL and must be beggared!
3. Abolition of all right of inheritance. Not yet. Just heavily taxed.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels. Yes. The police and governments routinely seize and auction "criminal property". "Rebels" are just political criminals, and are surely next in the confiscation line.
5. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly. Yes. See The FED.
6. Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State. Yes - See Obama's Executive Orders 10990, 10995, 11003 and 11005.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan. Mostly, yes. Small companies & farms bankrupted by heavy regulation and taxes.
8. Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture. Yes! See Obama's infamous Exec Order 11000.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of the population over the country. Starve out small business and farms and you'll create bigger cities and vast rural wastelands. Easier to control the masses.
10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form and combination of education with industrial production.  ^{Yes...and what top quality graduates our communist schools mass produce!}

And Obama Fiddled as USA/Rome Burned!

Well the super committee failed to come up with a lousy one trillion dollars in cuts over ten years. Keeping in mind that we already owe at least 15 trillion (and actually a lot more)!

Don't be fooled by the partisan bickering either. Neither Dems nor Repubs want a deal...and neither does Obama. They're all only interested in getting re-elected. The Republicans want to say they held the line on taxes, and the Democrats will say they kept all the health and other giveaways intact.

...And Obammy fiddles while USA/Rome burns!

The USA is not the first, but is arguably the longest true republican form of democracy in history. Did you ever ask yourself why? Because the inherent weakness of this form of government is the partisan bickering that inevitably occurs, followed by bankruptcy (give the people free stuff and they'll vote for you), and eventually chaos, civil war, economic collapse, leading to a dictatorship that rises and restores order. Of course, pesky things like individual freedoms quickly go by the wayside in the name of the restoration of law and order.

Don't say it can't happen here! Two years ago I wrote an article about how the USA could have its debt rating downgraded...and commenters said I was an alarmist nut! Well, we all know I wasn't crazy now, don't we?
